Proceeds of Crime (Cash Seizure) Law, 2008

The Proceeds of Crime (Cash Seizure) (Jersey) Law 200- was adopted by the States on 22 November 2007 and shall come into force in February/March 2008.

The purpose of this Law is

• to provide for the search for, and the seizure, detention and forfeiture of, cash that is used in, or intended to be used in, or obtained in the course of, from the proceeds of, or in connection with, the commission of an offence against a law of a country or territory, including Jersey, and
• to amend the provisions of the Proceeds of Crime (Jersey) Law 1999 regarding the making of confiscation orders and saisies judiciaires.
