Agreement on Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters between Brazil and Peru, 2001

The Agreement on Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters between Brazil and Peru was celebrated in Lima on 21 July 1999.

The Treaty aims at improving the effectiveness of the law enforcement authorities of the Parties to the MLA Treaty in all matters relating to the investigation, prosecuting and suppression of offences.

According to Article 16 of this treaty the States Parties can confiscate assets, valuables and rights if it is requested.
