Proceeds of Crime (Jersey) Law, 1999

The Proceeds of Crime (Jersey) Law 1999 of the Bailiwick of Jersey has been amended by the States of Jersey (Amendments and Construction Provisions No. 2) (Jersey) Regulations 2005. Therefore the file to download shows the Law as at 1 January 2006 (revised edition).

The purposes of this Law are:

• to provide for the confiscation and forfeiture of the proceeds of crime;
• to establish new offences of money laundering and new procedures to forestall and prevent money laundering;
• to enable the enforcement in Jersey of overseas confiscation orders; and
• for connected purposes.
