UN Model Treaty on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters, 1990

The UN Model Treaty on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters was adopted by the General Assembly Resolution 45/117 on 14 December 1990.

According to Art. 1, the Parties shall, in accordance with the present Treaty, afford to each other the widest possible measure of mutual assistance in investigations or court proceedings in respect of offences the punishment of which at the time of the request for assistance, falls within the jurisdiction of the judicial authorities of the requesting State.
