The Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) is an anti-corruption agency directly accountable to the Prime Minister of Singapore.
The Prevention of Corruption Act (Cap. 241) regulates the powers of the CPIB. Established in 1952, the CPIB may serve as a competent authority for the execution of MLA requests particularly in corruption cases. In this case, the CPIB works together with the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC).
