The Law against Corruption and Illicit Enrichment (nº 8422) was adopted on 29 October 2004.
This Law detailed offenses related to corruption. It widened the scope of public enrichment; it included traffic on influences, detailed the offense of money laundering, and regulated more comprehensively the celebration of contracts.
