Extradition Act between the Republic of South Africa and the Arab Republic of Egypt, 2002

The Extradition Act between the Republic of South Africa and the Arab Republic of Egypt was ratified by Parliament on 14 November 2002 and entered into force on 16 September 20003. A notice was published in Government Gazette 26497 of 2 July 2004.

According to Art. 1 of the Treaty, the Parties agree to extradite to each other, pursuant to the provisions of this Treaty and subject to their respective domestic laws relating to extradition, persons whom the authorities in the Requesting State have charged with or convicted of an extraditable offence.
