I. Domestic Legislation

The relevant domestic legislation of the Bailiwick of Guernsey has already been referred to in this profile. Further assistance can be found at the website at http://www.gov.gg/law.

II. Regional Treaties

The Islands are not members of the EU nor do they have an associate relationship.

The Islands have a very limited special relationship with the EU as set out in Protocol 3 to the United Kingdom's Act of Accession to the European Community in 1972.

Under Protocol 3, the Islands are part of the customs territory of the EU.

At the moment the Bailiwick of Guernsey is not required to implement criminal law measures promulgated in the EU.
