Extradition Treaty between the Republic of South Africa and the Kingdom of Lesotho, 2001

The Extradition Treaty between the Republic of South Africa and the Kingdom of Lesotho was ratified by Parliament on 15 November 2001 and entered into force on 23 December 2003. A notice was published in Government Gazette 26375 of 28 May 2004.

According to Art. 1 of the Treaty, each Contracting Party agrees to extradite to the other, in accordance with the provisions of this Treaty and their respective domestic law, persons who are wanted for prosecution or the imposition or enforcement of a sentence in the Requesting State for an extraditable offence.
