The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is an anti-corruption agency of Hong Kong. Since it was established by the Independent Commission Against Corruption Ordinance in February 1974, the ICAC has embraced a three-pronged approach of law enforcement, prevention and community education to fight corruption.
The ICAC may serve as a competent authority for the execution of MLA requests particularly in corruption cases. In this case, it works together with the MLA Unit of the Department of Justice.
