Two deputies at KACC named

The parliamentary committee on Administration of Justice has nominated two assistant directors to the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission.

Dr John P. Mutonyi was nominated an assistant director for Investigations and Asset Recovery, while Mr Wilson Shollei was picked as assistant director in charge of Finance and Administration.

KACC’s advisory board recommended the two in accordance with the Anti-corruption and Economic Crimes Act.

Similarly the committee tabled the names of nominees to the Truth Justice and Reconciliation Commission.

The House team nominated nine Kenyans and three foreigners picked by the panel of Eminent Persons.

They include Bethwel Kiplagat, Anglican Archbishop Benjamin Nzimbi, Dr Elizabeth Muli, Mr Tom Ojienda, the Rev Timothy Njoya and Betty Murungi. The two names and the list of 12 nominees will be presented to the President for appointment on approval by Parliament.
