This video clip is from the workshop on "Implementing the Asset Recovery Provisions of the United Nations Convention against Corruption", hosted by the International Centre for Asset Recovery of the Basel Institute on Governance, in cooperation with the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) on 15-16 May 2007 in Basel, Switzerland. It was attended by 25 specialists in the area of asset recovery from around the world, and 30 observers.

At the plenary session "Employing the UNCAC against Asset Recovery Impediments: Case Study 1: The Classic Case – Ferdinand Marcos", the discussion on the distribution of competence between prosecutors and magistrates in asset recovery cases on an Italian example.
