The National Anti-Corruption Forum (NACF) was established to combat and prevent corruption, build integrity and raise awareness, and was launched in Cape Town on 15 June 2001. It was born of a cabinet decision following the National Anti-Corruption Summit in Cape Town in 1999.
The NACF comprises three sectors: civil society, business and the public sector with each sector being represented by ten members nominated by their respective constituencies. The Public Service Commission (PSC) provides the secretariat to support NACF.

The NACF led to the development of the National Anti-Corruption Programme (NAP) (adopted in June 2005) as a two-year programme and aims to foster a greater culture of transparency and accountability. The NACF also manages the National Anti-Corruption Hotline for the Public Service (0800 701 701), an effective tool in its fight to combat and prevent corruption in the public service.
