Law No. 9.034, 1995 (Prevention and Suppression of activities of Criminal Organisations)

Law n° 9.034 of 3 May 1995 on Prevention and Suppression of Activites of Criminal Organisations, describes several investigative methods that can be used by judges when dealing with criminal organisations.

Although in article 5.X the Constitution of Brazil guarantees the right to privacy, article 3 of this law allows the access to private information, such as banking data, in criminal investigations.
